UNTIL THE 23rd

Through the reports sent to all the Communities, you know that last week was dedicated to the Organization of Chapters at the different levels and
together we discussed our schedules, reports, proposals etc...  It was a day that turned out illuminating and necessary for all of us.

On Sunday the 20, after a quick visit to Albufera-a lake close to Valencia and the beach of El Saler, we returned to our home and school of El Vedat in
Terrente, a few kilometers from Valencia.

What can we say about the hospitality of the sisters?  There all the sisters of the area has gathered together.   We took part in the holy Eucharist with representatives of all the sections of the educational community:  Students, teachers and collaborators, sisters, parents, catechists... everything was wonderfully prepared, the offering, the words of the priest, the boys and girls Choirs helped us to remember this moment with joy.

Upon leaving the chapel the “noise” began; since with out the noise and the smell of dust no feast can be celebrated in this place.  Then we had the meal with the typical Paella.  When it seemed that the whole celebration was over, a group of Valencia Folklore appeared, a gift of city hall to the Teresians sisters who had come from all over the world.  They danced “el u y el dos”, the most characteristic of the repertoire and many of the dances, including the one with guitar and instrument and “el tabalet y la dulzaina” (drum and flute) helped us to hear the most typical sounds of music.  We enjoyed everything and we are immensely grateful, but the hour for farewells had come.

Before we returning to the Santo Espiritu, in order to compensate for the sorrow of the farewell, we stopped to taste and enjoy “horchata de chufa” in Alboraya.   We made a brief stop on the beach of the Port Sa Playa (a little Venice), where the houses have their boats parked at their doors, since many canals were made to provide for the entrance and the circulation for the sea water.

And so we finished our visit.  Our work continued, this time very intensive because we have only four days to revise the chapter of Constitutions, which we have not yet worked on in this group or that remained for further revision.  We started with Formation and Government, the longest ones, and we have continued with Animation and apostolic organization.   We still have a few more to work on and as the main one the first chapter, the one on our identity.

This marks the end of our reports and the beginning on the 23rd day
because we are now having a special celebration and reports of this will be sent out.
