Chronicle on Juitepec Meetings
October 28-30, 2003
|
Tuesday, Oct. 28
Our work on the Constitutions has been completed. The Chapter on
Government was difficult, especially because of its length and the topics
connected with it.
We also spent time on the Chapter on Finances and Formation. As a guide
for our study of Formation, a Project or Outline on Formation was presented
to us. Several sisters had been assigned to prepare this project. A brief
look was given to the first copy of the chapter on Fostering and Apostolic
Organization which the EGC sent to the Provinces.
We were able to obtain a necessary consensus for the contents of the
Constitutions. |

Wednesday, Oct. 29 and
Thursday Oct. 30
These two days were dedicated to several topics. The morning of the 29th
was as follows:
• Sr. Rosaria Ferrer informed us of the steps taken since the meeting in
Paraguay for a greater knowledge of the functioning of the STJ Editorial,
encouraging us to make use of the articles being published in the STJ
Bulletin which clarified some doubts and which offered an opportunity for
participation by those who wish to do so.
• The topic of Absence and Exclaustration took a great part of the
morning, for the purpose of creating common criteria and to help work on the
contents that will appear in the constitutions.
• Sr. Gloria Rodriguez made a broad presentation of the Teresian
Educative Proposal: its origin, process and objectives, as well as its
procedure until now through the Internet. Her presentation was very
clarifying and she urged us to become involved in the next step.
That afternoon, Srs. Norma Olaeta and Maruca Sansores, from the Province of
Our Lady of Guadalupe, introduced the topic Vocational Promotions from their
eight-year experience in the field. A very active dynamics helped each one
of us to create a "picture" of our Province and also to plan for the future. |

Within the topic
of Finances, Sr. Encarna Autor reported on the Teresian ONG, the financing
of projects and the change of the purpose of the Canonization Fund of the
Generalate. Before closing, we learned of Intercongregational Project
CINTRA, in the slums of Raval in Barcelona.
The day closed with a shared prayer, and an emphasis on thanksgiving. We
advanced information on the haste of the last moments might impede
the communications we had hoped to send out. |

Thursday, Oct. 30
The proposed topic is the one of the next General Chapter: topic, possible
dates, Intercapitular meeting, Provincial and Local Chapters, suggestions,
etc.
After lunch we will bid farewell to Juitepec and returned to the different
houses in Mexico City where we have been staying. From there we will return
to our respective countries. |

With grateful hearts to
God for all we have experienced, to all the sisters who have accompanied and
helped us here and elsewhere, and also to those who have made this meeting
possible, we say farewell. "The Lord has been great to us and we are
glad."
