Dear
Sisters, It has been quite some time since our last report, because our
work is intense and you already know the topics: Constitutions and
Directory! We had already worked on the vows, but we needed to go over our
work and then look at the Directory. Last weekend we reflected on the
Chapter on Government which is vast and complex.

On Sunday we had a truly restful
day, although we tired ourselves in a different way. It turned out to be a
complete and wonderful day, a real gift. We left the house very early, so
as to see the morning performance of Mexican Ballet Folklorico in the Palace
of Bellas Artes. From there we went to the Villa where the Basilica of Our
Lady of Guadalupe is located, and we participated in the Eucharist with all
the people. If the Ballet was wonderful, our visit to Our Lady’s Shrine was
intimate, and with this mixture of sentiments, we started visiting the
different Teresian Communities located in Mexico City. |

In the school of La Florida some
sisters from different houses had met for lunch – based mainly on Mexican
tacos. It was a real family gathering, enhanced by the “mariachis” with
their happy rhythm and songs. From there we went to the Institute Cultural,
we greeted the sisters and went through the different sections of the school
and the Spirituality Center. We joined the sisters for prayers and supper,
and then had the pleasant surprise of meeting several young volunteers who
are working on projects enabling them to live and then teach others to live
an experience of Teresian prayer. These volunteers have a commitment to
live with the community for a whole year. |

We have no words to express our
gratitude to the sisters for their hospitality. However, we are sure you
can imagine our feeling and we can only be grateful. |

Well,
the next day there was a change of scenery and the “hard work” began. We
are already tired but we were beginning to close gaps. Today we finished
chapter 6 of the Directory and Chapter 9 on Government. We have studied
Chapter 10 on Economy and Sr. Concha Salvador has given us the Project on
Formation as a preparation for our study on Formation. We bid farewell to
Sr. Georgina Zubiria who had accompanied us and facilitated the methodology
of our work but was unable to remain with us any longer. Now it is our turn
to say farewell as we have reported to you everything we have done so far.
