II. EXPANSION
1876-1901
|
The First 25 years of the Society
It grew, carrying in its
veins
The blood of races, youth,
vigor,
From so much giving love,
It is clad with love.
Ebony and snow, tropical and
mountainous
Fit into her sheaf
But even if born in Spain,
It was to take to the seas
like Castillo.
This was the way the prophet
saw her that sleepless night in April.
A cloud that waters the furrow and the seed that fertilizes the soil
and departs at harvest time brave in battle, humble in victory...

SILVER JUBILEE
OF THE SOCIETY
In 1901 on the feast of
the Sacred Heart, the Society celebrated Silver Jubilee and the opening of
the Novitiate.
Because of this celebration, M. Saturnina Jassá wrote her HISTORICAL
REPORT ON THE SOCIETY in which she analyzes the situation at present and
envisions the future with hope. From this, second parts are the following
words: |
|
Only souls of
sacrificing and humble zeal can act as guides to Jesus Christ to communicate the
life of His Heart to the heart of his followers:
Strong souls who toil with
their yes fixed solely on Christ.
These souls have eagle’s eyes for everything spiritual and holy... living always
for others; they would want to lead to the divine heart
as many human souls as
possible.
This
is the style of the TRUE DAUGHTER OF THE SOCIETY
