Have you read
any of the Harry Potter books? Harry, an orphan, leads a pretty
miserable life until some special friends help him to learn that his
parents were wizards, and he has inherited their powers. Each one of us is a little like that. With the help of the Church and the friends God has given us, we come to learn that our real father is God Himself! What powers we can have to fight evil and do good, just because of God who created us, and Jesus who saved us. Like Harry, though, we have to learn how to use those powers. We can ask Jesus to show us the way to live our real lives, as God's children. |

Spend some time now thinking about who your true Father is. Thank God for this great gift of belonging to Him. Ask Jesus to teach you how to use your gifts and powers for Him, to do good and fight evil in the world.
